Compressed Air Foam Applications

Compressed Air Foam (CAF) is approved to extinguish Class B fires involving combustible & flammable liquids (both hydrocarbons and polar solvents).  In general, compressed air foam can be used where flammable or combustible liquids are stored, handled or processed and when there are water issues, either in supply, containment or drainage.

ICAF Compressed Air Foam Systems are applicable for the protection of parts of buildings, specific hazards and equipment, in local application and total flooding.

Compressed Air Foam Systems:  AFFF for flammable liquid hazards

ICAF Compressed Air Foam systems are ideal for the following applications:

  • LEED rated projects.

  • Applications where limited water supply or drainage is an issue.

  • Areas where fire control is not enough and extinguishment is essential.

  • Areas where hazardous fuels and water from the fire protection system must be contained and treated after the fire.

  • Class B Fires - Combustible and flammable liquids (Hydrocarbons and Polar Solvents) in two dimensions, pools, spills or cascading type fires.

Industries:
  • Oil & Gas
  • Petro-chemical
  • Biofuel & Ethanol
