Compressed Air Foam Distribution Nozzles

Distribution Nozzles:  FireFlex Systems' extensive development work has resulted in the design of a patented  Compressed Air Foam Distribution Nozzle that insures a proper foam consistency and optimal flow pattern.  Called Turbine Action Rotary (TAR) Nozzles, they produce a uniform foam cover composed of very small & strong bubbles, similar in appearance to shaving cream. 

- Total Flooding:  Using the TAR-225C nozzle, the Ceiling Nozzle Configuration is applicable to the protection of two-dimensional flammable or combustible liquid hazards.

Examples of hazards covered by this configuration include flammable liquid processing hazards, pumps, compressors, piping or containers, diesel engine generator rooms, machinery spaces, hydraulic oil or lubricating oil rooms and fuelling areas.

- Local Application:  Using the TAR-225L nozzle, the Specific Hazard Configuration is applicable to the protection of hazards where flammable or combustible liquid spills can occur on surfaces other than horizontal.  This configuration will therefore be designed to provide a specific CAF discharge directly over the protected surfaces or areas.

Examples of hazards covered by this configuration include power transformers, generators, machinery lubricating systems, belt conveyors and vessels.
