What is Compressed Air Foam ?

Compressed Air Foam Systems:  AFFF for flammable liquid hazards

Compressed-Air Foam (CAF) is a fire suppression medium created by injecting air under pressure into a foam solution stream.

CAF fire suppression systems are high energy foam generation systems which produce small bubbled, uniform foam in a high momentum jet.

Integrated Compressed Air Foam (ICAF) is a deluge type system, which can be electrically, pneumatically or manually operated.  It can also be provided with fail-safe electrical actuation.

The foam itself produces a uniform blanket formed by very small & strong bubbles that sticks to all surfaces, even vertical, and offers very good thermal protection against the fire.

Compressed Air Foam (CAF) provides a much longer foam drainage time combined with better fuel-vapour barrier.  The enhanced burn-back time with CAF provides extended fire protection longer after the foam has been discharged.

Once again, we have improved the technology of fire suppression !
