FireFlex introduces 2 new product lines !
The two new product lines add
Clean Agent Integrated Systems to FireFlex Systems popular TotalPac2:
The FireFlex 1230, integrating a SEVO-1230 cylinder in a cabinet with
its own Potter Releasing Panel and the FireFlex DUAL, integrating a
SEVO-1230 cylinder combined with a Viking Preaction trim with its own
common Potter Releasing Panel.
09/02/02: TotalPac2 Accepted for use in NYC by the City of New York Fire
Department:
Effective immediately, TotalPac2
units are now Accepted for use in the city of New York under Certificate
of Approval # 6021. Visit our Listings &

08/09/01: Gast integrated air compressors in the TotalPac2 are being phased out
for models made by General Air:
Starting this December, we are
beginning to phase out the use of Gast Air Compressors used with the
TotalPac2 air supplies Style "A" to progressively begin to use air
compressors from General Air. Refer to the Air Supply datasheet as
their caracteristics are slightly different.
08/09/01: Viking PAR-3 Releasing Panel is replaced by the new VFR-400 and EZ-Trim
by Viking's new conventional trim:
Beginning September 1st, 2008, all TotalPac2 units with integrated control
panel (self-contained) will be provided with the new Viking VFR-400
Release Control Panel instead of the now obsolete PAR-3. Doing so,
the TotalPac2 will now meet the new UL-864 requirements. All
system trims have also been upgraded to Viking's New Conventional Trim since the EZ Trim is no longer supported. All pages referring
to the PAR-3 panel & the EZ Trim have been updated to reflect this
change and new pages have been added as well. Pages and data on
these now obsolete systems have been moved into our revised
archives and is
now available for information only.
08/09/01:
FireFlex Units for Power Plants are no longer available !
The old FireFlex units
for power plant applications are no longer available. All the
technical information about them has been moved to our new
Archives Page and is now available for
information only.
08/03/31: ICAF Systems meets FM-5130:
ICAF is the first foam system on the market to meet
the requirements of
the new Factory Mutual
<FM> Foam Standard
#5130 for simultaneous application of automatic sprinklers on the foam
blanket !

07/11/22: New recognition for FireFlex Systems' ICAF Compressed Air Foam Systems !
The City of New York Buildings
Department has just granted its MEA approval to the ICAF Integrated
Compressed Air Foam Systems for their use in the city.

The ICAF System Design manual is
now available for download. A new NRC report on the effect of
automatic sprinklers on an ICAF discharge has also been added. A
new video of an actual ICAF discharge test in an aircraft hangar is also
available for download.

now CSFM Approved !
Recognition continues for the
ICAF Compressed Air Foam Systems with this latest approval from the
California State Fire Marshall, clearing the way for its use in California.

06/11/23: Expanded FM Approval for ICAF Systems.
The FM Approval of ICAF Systems
has been expanded to now include use on hazards with Polar Solvents (Alcohol & Ketone).
Furthermore, the maximum nozzle height for hydrocarbon fires has been
increased up to 46 ft. (14 m.) while the maximum height for polar solvents
was set at 35 ft. (10,7

FireFlex Systems receives the FPTT 2006 Award !
FireFlex Systems
and the Canadian National Research Council's Institute for Research in
Construction have jointly been awarded the prestigious Federal Partners in
Technology Transfer 2006 (FPTT) Award from the Canadian Government, for
the transfer and commercialization of Compressed Air Foam Systems.
