Deluge TotalPac2
A Deluge system is a fixed fire protection system which totally
floods an area with pressurized water through a network of piping and
open nozzles or sprinkler heads. The system piping is empty until the Deluge valve is activated. This configuration utilizes a Viking Model E-1 Deluge valve which may be open by the
fusing of a pilot head or by operation of the detection system.
Applications:
TotalPac2 Deluge systems are used in extra hazard occupancies where a fire buffer zone is created or
surface cooled to prevent deformation or structural collapse. Examples:
storage or process areas containing substances having a low flash
point;
areas in which a fire may spread rapidly; storage
tanks containing combustible solutions, transformers, equipment
pits or product handling systems.
Available release trims:
TotalPac2 Deluge Systems are available with the following releasing systems: hydraulic,
pneumatic, electric or manual, with fixed temperature, rate of rise
temperature, smoke or other means of activation.
Other trim options:
-
Supervised By-pass Valve and Sight Glass assembly, for full-flow testing
without flooding the piping with water.
-
Fire Department Connection.
-
Viking Dehydrator
for pilot line actuation.
-
Remote annunciator for units provided with integrated control panel.
Available Air Option Styles:
