Dry Pipe TotalPac2
TotalPac2 Dry Pipe units are available in the following configurations:
Standard Dry Pipe Systems:
This configuration utilizes a Viking Model F-1 Dry valve (rated at
175 psi - 12 Bar) which may be open by the fusing of
a sprinkler head. A Dry Pipe sprinkler system is a fire protection system which
utilizes water as the extinguishing agent. The system piping from the Dry Pipe Valve to the fusible
sprinklers is filled with pressurized air or nitrogen. One system
may protect as much as 52,000 sq.ft. (4830.8 sq.m.) in a single fire
area. Available in 4" and 6" dia.
HP® (High-Pressure) Dry Pipe Systems: This configuration utilizes a Viking Model E-1
Deluge valve and Riser Check valve rated at 250 psi and trimmed as a dry valve which will
open by the fusing of a sprinkler head.
High pressure Dry Pipe systems are commonly used where sprinkler system
supply pressures are above 175 psi (12 Bar), small systems where
anti-freeze solutions are undesirable or when smaller conventional dry pipe valves are not available.
Available in 1½", 2", 3", 4" and 6" dia.
Applications:
TotalPac2 Dry Pipe Systems are primarily
used to protect unheated structures or areas where the system is
subject to freezing. Under such circumstances, they may be installed in any structure to
automatically protect the structure contents and/or personnel from loss
due to fire. The structure must be substantial enough to support the system
piping when filled with water
Available Air Supply Styles:
Dry Pipe units
are now available with 2 different air supplies styles to meet all applications:
Style A and B.
