Preaction TotalPac2

TotalPac2 Preaction configurations are available Listed & Approved to meet the demands of various hazards and applications:

• Non-Interlocked systems utilize a Viking Model E-1 Deluge valve which may be open either by the fusing of a sprinkler head or operation of the detection system. 
  
  Application is a very large dry pipe system exceeding the capacity normally permitted on a dry valve.

• Single Interlocked systems require the operation of the detection system to trip the Viking Model E-1 Deluge valve and fill the system piping with water. 
  
  Commonly used in computer rooms and similar hazards where water is required at the sprinkler heads as soon as they operate and in applications where it is important to control accidental water discharge due to damaged sprinkler piping or heads.

• Double Interlocked systems utilize a Viking Model E-1 Deluge Valve and are so arranged that the valve will open only when both the pressure is reduced in the system piping and the detection system operates. 
  
  Commonly used in freezers where flooding of the pipe can have serious consequences and in system applications where it is important to control accidental discharge of the system.

TotalPac2 Preaction systems are available with the following releasing systems:

        - pneumatic,

        - electric or manual,

        - with fixed temperature,

        - rate of rise temperature,

        - smoke

        - or other means of activation.
