Fire Protection Technician

BRIEF DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Operations Director, you will be responsible for commissioning, inspecting, testing, and modifying our various types of integrated fire protection systems, both in the workshop and at client sites.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring compliance with quality standards and deadlines.
  • Representing the company to clients.
  • Participating in assembly, testing, and inspections in the workshop.
  • Commissioning our systems at client sites (calibration, programming, compliance testing, etc.).
  • Diagnosing and correcting electrical, mechanical, or electronic system failures.
  • Preparing service reports.
  • Providing required technical training to clients.
  • Acting as technical support for clients.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • DEP or certificate in fire protection mechanics, or a combination of training and relevant experience;
  • Experience in installing and inspecting fire suppression and alarm systems;
  • Essential bilingualism (French and English, spoken and written); *
  • Autonomy and strong organizational skills;
  • Excellent customer service skills;
  • Strong ability to work both in a team and independently;
  • Valid passport and availability for regular local and international travel.

* Proficiency in spoken and written English is required, as the person in this role will be in regular contact with our offices in other Canadian provinces or with clients outside of Quebec.
