System Style: Skid vs Cabinet No Panel vs Cabinet VFR 500
System style describes how the FireFlex equipment is packaged and whether the release control panel is included in the assembly.
- Skid: trim assembly on a base, no full cabinet, no integrated enclosure
- Cabinet no panel: enclosed assembly without an integrated release panel
- Cabinet VFR 500: enclosed assembly with integrated release/control panel in the selector naming
What each option means
Skid
A skid-mounted system is supplied on a structural base or frame rather than inside a full cabinet.
Choose it when:
- The project has its own control room or protected mechanical space
- Easy access to open-mounted components is preferred
- You do not need a cabinet enclosure
Cabinet no panel
A cabinet no panel system is enclosed in a cabinet, but the release panel is not included as part of that style selection.
Choose it when:
- You want the system enclosed and protected
- The project uses a separate releasing/control panel
- Panel location is specified elsewhere in the building design
Cabinet VFR 500
A cabinet VFR 500 style is the enclosed option intended for projects that want the cabinet and integrated control arrangement selected together in the system selector.
Choose it when:
- You want a more self-contained packaged solution
- You prefer factory-integrated controls inside the cabinet arrangement
- Simpler coordination and field installation are priorities
How to decide quickly
- Open-mounted equipment acceptable? Choose skid
- Need enclosure but panel is separate? Choose cabinet no panel
- Want enclosure with integrated control package? Choose cabinet VFR 500
