What Is TOTALPAC®X and When Is It Better Than a Standard Indoor Cabinet?

TOTALPAC®X is the FireFlex integrated cabinet designed for outdoor, freezing, and harsh environments. It protects the same way as the system inside it, but adds a weatherproof, insulated, heated enclosure.

TOTALPAC®X does not change the fire suppression method. The “X” means the system is packaged in a weather-resistant, insulated cabinet built for outdoor installations and challenging environments.

You should choose TOTALPAC®X when the fire protection equipment will be exposed to freezing temperatures, weather, moisture, or corrosive conditions. It is a strong fit for industrial sites, remote process areas, and exterior installations where a standard indoor cabinet is not enough.

The main options mean:

  • Wet pipe: for outdoor or protected installations where freezing is still controlled.
  • Dry pipe: for freezing environments where water cannot remain in the piping.
  • High-pressure dry pipe: for special applications requiring that style of dry system.
  • Preaction: for sensitive risks where accidental discharge must be minimized.
  • Deluge: for high-hazard areas needing immediate full discharge.
  • FireCycle or SureFire: for applications needing advanced release logic or controlled discharge behavior.

Its added value is environmental protection. TOTALPAC®X allows the selected sprinkler system to operate reliably in places where cold, rain, splashing water, windblown dust, or corrosion would otherwise create installation and maintenance problems. If your environment is the challenge, TOTALPAC®X is often the right answer.
